BURNNG STAR
This plein-air series of paintings was created at a reclaimed coal strip mine in Southern Illinois. Each is painted on Japanese paper that was crushed and mounted to a board. The surface grabs the paint in a most unique way, making this series so much fun to make. Painted over two summers, these pieces are in a private collection.
